Slavic and Liuba serve as the BBI Directors of Ukrainian Ministry, meeting the life-on-life ministry needs of a dozen communities throughout the country of Ukrainians who came to Latvia as refugees and are rebuilding their lives.

For the past 30 years, Slavic and Liuba Maiboroda have been church planters and youth workers.  When the war in Ukraine started, they moved to Riga, Latvia and began leading BBI’s outreach to refugees. This helped address the complex physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Ukrainians in Latvia.  They are especially gifted in hospitality and pastoral ministry.  Many have been encouraged and felt the love of Jesus through their compassionate care efforts. They run weekly bible studies, prayer groups, youth meetings, and church services.
