Experiencing the Word: Knowing Jesus
Experiencing the Word: Knowing Jesus
EXPERIENCING THE WORD: KNOWING JESUS
God is speaking to you individually, as a family, and as a church. This six-week, interactive workshop at Mauldin First Baptist will teach us how to better hear God’s voice through Scripture as we journey together in learning the lost art of Bible meditation. The process of Experiencing the Word has given new life to the ancient practice of Lectio Divina and Reflective Prayer using a unique system designed to make our quiet time with God deeper, passage selection easier, and the process more engaging. The straight-forward, five-step tool teaches us how to reflect on small portions of Scripture and communicate with God through His Word. Led by the developers of the curriculum and local missionaries, BBI Executive Director Pastor Joshua Masters and BBI President Natalie Meeks, this class will focus on scriptures that reveal the character and nature of Jesus Christ.

Organizer
For more than three decades, God has used BBI to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to one of the least evangelized regions of the world. Through partnerships, training, and life-on-life ministry, we work to overcome physical, emotional, and spiritual oppression in Latvia and other former Soviet states.
Venue
For more than 100 years, Mauldin First Baptist has been a fellowship of faith and family. We are a family of all ages and several generations. We believe that a love relationship with God should lead us to share our lives together and sharing the love of Jesus with the whole world. That love encourages us to serve the needs of others and to make disciples of Jesus. That’s why you’ll see “Love. Share. Serve. Make” all around our church and in the hearts of our people.
