Šašlik Feast

What is Šašlik? The word originates from the Crimean region of Ukraine and literally means, “skewerable”. It was later adapted into Russian, where it was eventually taken and evolved into the English term, “Shish Kabob.” So, Šašlik is a dish made with cubed pieces of meat (in this case, lamb) that are grilled on a skewer or spit.
In this private event co-hosted by BBI and Eagle’s Wings Camp, participants from the Brookwood Church mission trip will have the opportunity to take part in this cultural meal while spending time with our Ukrainian Ministry Team, our partners in Latvia, and Ukrainian Refugees involved in the war relief efforts.
This will be a great time of fellowship and cultural exchange.

All summer long, however, this quiet environment is not quiet at all. It is full of the laughter, joy and the positive emotions of children and young people.
